TAC Research Pilot Trial:
Early MD Care for Whiplash
Axis is currently conducting a Research Pilot Trial with the TAC. This research has ethics approval, is registered on ANZCTR and is being supported by researchers at RMIT, Swinburne and the University of Queensland.
We have started recruitment for this trial and need your support. We need to recruit 10 TAC claimants with the following inclusion criteria:
- TAC Claimant
- Aged 18-65 years old
- Whiplash injury (neck) < 3 months old
- No other serious, uncontrolled co-morbid condition or fractures.
What these patients will get:
- No disruption to their treatment with you.
- Additional telehealth support from a physiotherapist with expertise managing whiplash injuries.
- Screening for risk of delayed recovery AND if at risk referral for six, stress inoculation training sessions with a health psychologist.
What you will get:
- To support your recruitment efforts, clinics will be paid $1,000 for each participants that is successfully enrolled in to and completes the study ($500 on commencement, $500 on completion).
- Communication from the treating team at Axis about their assessment findings and support of your patients.
